In all likelihood, Week 14 marks the conclusion of your fantasy football regular season. It is an all-important week; for many managers, it represents one last chance to squeeze into the playoffs. That also means that waiver wire pickups are more useful than ever in terms of unearthing just a few extra points in your matchup this week.
Each of the following four players warrant waiver-wire consideration ahead of Week 14. All players are rostered in less than half of leagues, with one sleeper at less than 5% rostered.

If your fantasy quarterback has injury uncertainty or has been underperforming, Tyrod Taylor is worth a look in Week 14. The signal-caller is coming off a season-high 21.3-point outing in Week 13 after leading the Jets to a 27–24 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, good enough to finish among the top 10 quarterbacks in the league.
The veteran still possesses a legitimate rushing threat, and in Week 14, the Jets have a favorable matchup against the Miami Dolphins, who are allowing the third-most rushing yards to quarterbacks this season (and the seventh-most fantasy points overall to signal-callers).

The Commanders’ committee approach in the backfield has made some fantasy managers hesitant to rely on any one rusher from week to week. However, Rodriguez appears to be the head of this committee, and his recent production suggests he’s a safe waiver wire acquisition if you’re in need of help at your RB or Flex position this week.
Rodriguez had 11 carries to Jeremy McNichols’ six and Jacory Croskey-Merritt’s four in Week 13. His production is, however, reliant on him finding the end zone, so starting him does represent a calculated risk.

Higgins isn’t coming off his highest-scoring week in fantasy—that was in Week 10, when he had 15.2 points on the strength of 42 receiving yards and a touchdown catch. But he is coming off his fourth double-digit outing in his last six starts, and that consistency may be even more important for managers keeping a close eye on their team’s floor this week.
Higgins’ value is highest in PPR leagues, but he has found the end zone in three of his last six games.

Tight End

After missing five weeks with a quad injury, Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange returned to the lineup in Week 12 and has been making a compelling fantasy case since. In the last two weeks, the third-year player has brought in eight of nine targets for 138 yards. Moreover, Strange found the end zone last week for the first time this season. Fantasy managers will be hoping that’s the beginning of a trend starting in Week 14.
In Week 14, Strange and the Jags have a juicy matchup against the Indianapolis Colts, who have allowed the second-most receiving yards per game and the third-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. Strange will be one of the most highly sought waiver wire additions this week.
