Novak Djokovic keeps making history.
The 38-year-old Serbian legend won his 101st career title in Athens on Saturday with a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory over No. 2 seed Lorenzo Musetti.
Djokovic trails only Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103) in career titles. He has won titles in 20 countries.
At 38 years, 5 months, he also became the oldest ATP champion since 1990 with his victory in the ATP 250 event, surpassing Frenchman Gael Monfils, who was 38 years, 4 months when he won the 2025 Auckland title.
Federer was 38 years, 2 months when he won Basel in 2019.
Djokovic improved to 9-1 against Musetti.
With this latest win, Felix Auger Aliassime qualifies for next week’s ATP Finals in Turin, Italy, while Musetti will end the year ranked at No. 9.
Djokovic has yet confirm his presence in the event but has qualified.
After it had been reported that the Serbian legend would play in the year-end event, Djokovic pumped the brakes on the story.
“I don’t know where he got that information from,” Djokovic said in Greece. “Definitely not from me or my team. I will decide at the end of this tournament.”
“He” in this case refers to the head of Italy’s tennis federation, Angelo Binaghi.
“We have confirmation that Djokovic will be in Turin,” Binaghi told Italian radio channel Rai Gr Parlamento on Monday, via The Independent.
